We are off to Gisborne for the weekend to catch up with all MV Owners! Partly because Gisborne is nice, more so because the roads to get to Gisborne are fantastic!
The itinerary is as follows:
Friday the 7th of April:
Ride in and meet up at the accomodation (see below). So a couple of quiet beers and meeting of old and new friends. A group dinner somewhere easy.
There is a group of us leaving from Tauranga at 9am to ride the East Cape road to Gisborne (see map below). You are welcome to join us at any of the points along the way – get in touch with me personally (021 348884) for details.
Saturday the 8th of April:
A group ride doing the “Tiniroto Loop”, stopping for lunch at the “2ate7 Cafe”, which is about 3 kms south of Wairoa. A drink at Smash Palace is a must as well as a group dinner at a restaurant for the evening meal 🙂
Sunday the 9th of April:
Ride out day. Enjoy a group breakfast before heading back to where you came from.
Accommodation:
We are staying at the beautiful Waikanae Beach Holiday Park on the waterfront in Gisborne. I have booked a full 2 bedroom unit for myself and Den/Di Hardy – this gives us a bit of a base of operations.
Those that are coming, it is up to you to book your own accomodation – please contact them on 0800 867 563 and make a booking for the one or two nights (depending on when you are coming). Loads of options available from Cabins to Self Contained Units etc.
Important: When you call them, make sure you say you are from the “MV Agusta Owners Group”.

PS: During past meet ups, I’ve made lifetime friendships that run far beyond the love of the MV Agusta brand – and look forward to making more! See you there. Viva la MV!
